netanyahu face to face and today vice president biden addressed that, right? >> that's right, shep. vice president biden many times has gotten into trouble for veering off message and saying something maybe the white house didn't want him to say. today was a case where he stood up for the president. he was at an event where he is supposed to be talking about medicare down in florida with senior citizens. he took a moment out to say wait a second, stop these attacks on the president over israel. take a listen. >> i want to tell you how proud i am. how proud i am to stand shoulder to shoulder with a guy who has done more for israel's physical security than any president. >> top white house officials insists during this call with the prime minister today president obama made clear that these two leaders are on the same page and they have the same goal, which is to prevent iran from getting nuclear weapons. now, how they do that whether it's through military action, whether it's through diplomacy, that's still a little bit shaky, they insist the goal is still the same, shep. >> shepard: what
, featuring vice president bite bite. thepresident -- vice president biden. the american coalition for clean coal electricity says this has been happening for months. rereached out to the obama campaign and have yet to hear back. >>> finally, politico roger simon wrote a satire of vice presidential nominee paul ryan this week using this quote. "he has been marching around his campaign bus saying things like , 'if stench calls, take a message .'" he was referencing this quote in the "new york times" -- "if ryan wants to run for national office again, he will probably have to wash the stench of romney off of him." simon's fake quote, attempt at satire was not fully appreciated. in other words, everybody didn't get it. "new york times" columnist paul krugman wrote, "can i say that even though i'm not exactly a fan of mitt romney's, this is just bad behavior?" from liberal commentator taylor marsh, "simon's piece spread like wildfire and calling a gigantic ripple." they weren't alone. simon clarified in editor's note he believes paul ryan calls mitt romney something more dignified than "stench."

[applause] >> now, there is a tax on social security benefits he's talking about. i voted consistently to repeal that tax because you know what you already paid for this. i

would say if vice president biden makes a gaffe, it gets sort of swept under the carpet. if mitt romney says something, it's front page news. >> jon, my counterpart is right, this has been happening for a long time, but it's gotten worse lately. and where do you hear in the press that the president has only met with his jobs council once since january, that the president with the attacks in benghazi, he won't come out and say they were truly terrorist attacks. >> oh, he said that. >> he did not come out publicly and hold a press conference in n saying that. let me finish, please peter, i did not interrupt you. where do you hear in the liberal mainstream media that the president's jobs bill where he says republicans are blocking him, that his own democrats voted down in the senate. and one last one that's a doozy, that harry reid has not put forth a budget in three years. so basically, journalists today that do biased reporting, they're actually doing themselves a disservice in their trade. i mean, this is an election year. people tune to the news to be informed. jon: we just got those g
